Description
This piece is from Numbers 6:24–26 and Deuteronomy 7:9, and done in 6th Century Roman Half-uncial script on an 18” x 24” piece of Strathmore. This beige-colored paper is characteristically reminiscent of sheepskin, similar to that used in early Anno Domini - “in the year of our Lord” (A.D.) centuries, 1st–8th scrolls.
 
On the right side is a 2” x 20” painting, illustrating pomegranates, which symbolize ‘resurrection.’ The visible arils (seeds) within the pomegranate quarters represent the seeds of the Gospel, covered by the Blood of Jesus as it flows through the family’s line.
 
Rendered in alabaster white, crimson red, forest green, gold leaf, and sepia India inks, the artwork is mounted on a thin foam board:

It is encased in a 3/4”, subtly gilded and carved black wooden 22” x 28” frame, and finished with a Museum Glass covering to preserve its intricate detail.
