Covenant Keeping God - Original
From Hebrews 8:19 and Micah 4:6-7, ‘Covenant Keeping God’ is the founding scriptures of The Gate Community Church in Franklin, Tennessee. The piece is executed in 6th Century Roman Half-uncial on 18” x 24” Strathmore. This beige-colored paper is characteristically reminiscent of sheepskin, evoking the materials used for lettering the ancient writs in the early centuries following the Savior’s death and resurrection.
Done in alabaster white, brown, gold and sepia India inks. The piece is slightly raised on thin foam board, lying on a black suede leather mat as an antiquity piece would be shown, encased by a mildly ornate and black wooden frame, 22” x 28,” to accent the writ’s subtleties with a Museum Glass covering.
