One Thing I Have Desired - Original
Based on the founding Scriptures, Psalms 27:4, 126:5–6, Revelation 4:8c, of ‘The Franklin Prayer House’ in Franklin, Tennessee. This piece is executed in 6th Century Roman Half-Uncial script on 18” x 24” Strathmore paper. The beige-colored paper is characteristically reminiscent of sheepskin—like that used for the ancient writs during the early Anno Domini (A.D.) centuries.
Rendered in alabaster white, blues, brown, gold leaf, and sepia India inks, the artwork is slightly raised on thin foam board and mounted on a royal blue suede leather mat, styled in the tradition of presenting sacred antiquities. It is encased in a 2” ornately gilded and black wooden 22” x 28” frame, and finished with a Museum Glass covering to preserve and elevate its intricate detail.
