King of Glory - Original

Taken from Psalm 2:6, Psalm 24:7, and Isaiah 2:23. The piece is rendered in gold leaf, royal purple, black, brown, and sepia India inks. It is executed in 6th Century Roman Half-uncial script on 18” x 24” Strathmore. This beige-colored paper is characteristically reminiscent of sheepskin, similar to that used in ancient writs during the early centuries.

It is double-matted in beveled gold and black, and encased in a simple 1.5” black wooden frame, 22” x 28”, to highlight the subtleties of the writ and gold leaf accents. Covered in Museum Glass.
